Asian Tuna Tartare!


Get ready to impress your guests with minimal prep! This is bursting with flavor!


  • 1 fillet of tuna
  • 1-2 avocados, depending on the size of your tuna
  • Seaweed flakes to garnish
  • Pack of unflavored chips or bake some sheets of seaweed

Soysauce dressing:

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin (this is different than the rice wine! much sweeter)
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey


  1. Chop the tuna into small cubes
  2. Do the same with the avocados
  3. get a square or circle cookie cutter and place onto the plate
  4. layer the avocado down first and then the tuna
  5. firmly press down until it feels packed
  6. remove the cookie cutter and mix the soy sauce in a separate bowl
  7. when ready to serve, pour the soy sauce around the tartare
  8. serve with chips
