Ahi Tuna Tacos

Ahi Tuna Tacos! This meal is more about prep than it is really cooking. Leave it to the individual to dress it as they wish!

My Sides:

  • Guacamole
  • Sriracha Mayo
  • Salsa
  • Shrimp and Mango Ceviche
  • Cilantro
  • Limes

Ingredients:

  • 2 fillets of tuna
  • 3 avocados
  • 12-15 shrimps, shelled
  • 1 mango
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • Jar of salsa
  • 5 limes
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 3 tbsp sriracha
  • 3 tbsp kewpie mayo

Directions:

  1. Prep the sides
    1. Guacamole:
      1. mash the avocados and squeeze 1/2 lime or a whole lime depending on your preference
    2. Sriracha Mayo:
      1. Mix the mayo and sriracha well
    3. Salsa (Jarred, no prep needed)
    4. Shrimp and Mango Ceviche:
      1. peel and chop the shrimp into small 1 cm pieces
      2. peel and chop the mango into small 1 cm pieces
      3. peel and chop 1/4 to 1/2 of red onion (to your preference) into small pieces
      4. chop 1 – 2 tomatoes (to your preference) into small pieces
      5. Mix into one bowl and squeeze 2 limes into the batch and let it sit in the refrigerator for 1 hour
  2. Sear the tuna on each side for 45 seconds on high heat
  3. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing into thin slices
  4. Prep the cilantro and chop the limes into wedges
  5. Plate the sides and let everyone else do the work!
