Mini Apple Pies! I apologize in the lack oh photos on how to, but most of this was store bought, so we can skip that step!
Ingredients:
- store bought tart shells
- store bought pie shell
- 3 Large Granny Smith apples
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 3 tbsp flour
- Squeeze of lemon
- 1 tsp on cinnamon
Directions:
- Pre heat oven at 370F
- peel and chop the apple into small cubes (1cm or so)
- toss in sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice and mix until fully coated
- fill the tarts fully, don’t be afraid to fill too much, the apples shrink dramatically in the oven
- take out the pie crust out of the tin, and roll flat
- This step is up to you on how you would like to decorate the pie, I like the traditional weave
- Brush the top of the pies with an egg wash or even some Pam, and sprinkle with granulated sugar
- Place into the oven for 20-25min, or when the crust is fully brown and apples are soft
Now place a scoop of ice cream on top for the perfect finish!
