Bun Rieu & Raw Beef Salad

LOVEEEE making vietnamese food, it’s so so simple, yet so many flavors! I will show you below how to make Bun Rieu and Raw Beef Salad!

Bun Rieu Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp tamarind paste
  • 2 cans of chicken stock
  • 3/4 L of water
  • 4 tomatoes, cubed
  • 1/2 pound to 1 pound of ground pork
  • 2 cans of crab meat
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • I pack of rice noodles

Bun Rieu Directions:

  1. cook the pork at the bottom of the pan, no need for oil
  2. pour in and Boil the chicken stock and water together
  3. add in tamarind paste, stir until combined
  4. Now add everything! (except for the noodles)
  5. While everything is simmering, boil and prepare the noodles

That’s it!!! Cut up cilantro, basil leaves, limes as garnish

Raw Beef Salad

  • 1 sirloin steak
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 3 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 chili, chopped
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onions
  • 1/2 chopped cilantro

Raw Beef Salad Directions:

  1. thinly slice the steak
  2. combine everything together!

Depending on how rare you like your beef, you can serve it right away, or wait a few hours to cook the beef a bit more with the lime juice.
