Spinach Banana Bread!


Spinach Chocolate Chip Banana Bread! This was originally baked for St. Patrick’s Day. (Late post). I didn’t want to use much food coloring, so I decided to add Spinach instead, You can’t even taste it!


  • 3 – 4 ripe bananas, smashed
  • 1/3 melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (or however much you prefer)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees
  2. Smash the bananas in a large mixing bowl
  3. Melt the butter and pour into a blender. Add the 2 cups of spinach and blend
  4. pour spinach mix with the smashed bananas and mix thoroughly
  5. Add the sugar, eggs, vanilla and baking soda into the mix
  6. Now mix in the flour, 1/2 cup at a time
  7. Stir in Chocolate chips
  8. Spray pan with non stick spray, pour in batter
  9. bake for 1 hour
